9 days to go and I am just doing my best to stay busy. Working out helps with the nerves and planning for Christmas gifts and decorations are a nice distraction as well. The next weeks I really have to focus on healing, but don't want too lose the gift of Christmas...loving God and others. Baking and cleaning house are the focus of the weekend. Should be fun.
On a more pertinent note, I did see my surgeon this week. He took measurements and will make a model of my noggin, on which he will then perform the surgery. So he has some homework to do :) I have to remind him this week to practice hard and do good on that homework!
I have not mentioned my surgeon yet, but he is truly wonderful! I leave appointments with the sense that I'm in the absolute best hands. All my questions are answered and both he and his staff take the time to give me what I need to feel confident about this important step. I feel very comfortable with him and see, each time I visit, how much time goes into planning and 'mapping out' this surgery for him and his team.
